“I don’t want you walking around my neighborhood,” McAndrews told Nellis, according to a transcript of the hearing.
LET: NASSAU COUNTY, NEW YORK- Finally…a judge with some intestinal fortitude…in New York, no less.
Nassau County District Judge David McAndrews is our new favorite badass judge.
On Jan. 9, two-time bank robber Romell Nellis appeared in Nassau County District Court in Judge McAndrews’ courtroom. Nellis wasn’t charged with so-called “bondable or bail eligible offenses,” but Judge McAndrews did not care. He refused to release a man he called a “menace to society.”
The judge ordered Nellis held on $10,000 cash, or $20,000 bond. Good for you, your honor. Well played. MORE
Now, How hard was that? Tell those ass wipes that make the laws to stick-it.
what’s worse than an elected body writing a bad bill and a governor siging it into a law? judges just making up what they want because, why not?
the best way to get ride of a bad law us to enforce it. the very last thing I want to live under is an oligarchy of man and women in black robes. then one lives in fear of being brought before such a tyrant who has it in for someone who looks like me or said tyrant is just having a bad day so why should your day be any better.
Don’t celebrate to hard. I believe I read a different article about this where this was appealed and struck down and he’s roaming free again.
@Different Tim
the linked article states exactly that .
Additionally, the released criminal cut off his GPS ankle bracelet and has since missed two court appearances and they have no idea where he is.
God job NY.
Dr. Riff, my bad. I looked through the linked article to quickly and guess I missed it. I shall now send myself to bed early and no dessert.😉
NY is phucked up, Cuomo is the chief head chet for brains governor.
be fair to prince andrew, he is after all mentally handicapped, rides the short bus licking windows and eating the green crayons in his pencil holder while grasping his snoopy lunch box
