No sign of California Democrats boycotting In-N-Out Burger yesterday

American Thinker: Yesterday, I promised readers that I would go to an In-N-Out Burger restaurant to check out the public reaction to the call to boycott the chain by the chair of the California Democratic Party.  I chose to drive to Hayward, California, a racially and economically diverse Bay Area city that gave less than 15% of its presidential votes to Trump-Pence.  So here’s my report, in the spirit that President Trump proudly proclaims: “Promises made – Promises kept.”

It was packed!

This, in all honesty, is the normal situation at an In-N-Out Burger store any time within hours of a mealtime.

There were eight people ahead of me in line to order.

  1. Most people live their lives and pay no attention to this quasi puritan tripe from idiots acting like the unruly brat child at the grocery store because mommy won’t comply with his demand for attention.

  2. Never heard of In N Out Burger’s restaurant before. But looking up the history of the company I found this;

    “In-N-Out prints Bible citations in small print on areas of packaging. This practice began in the 1980s during Rich Snyder’s presidency,a reflection of the Christian beliefs held by the Snyder family….. Lynsi Snyder, the then-33-year-old heir to the In-N-Out chain, revealed that she had two Biblically related tattoos. One of Matthew 6:10 in Aramaic: “Thy kingdom come, thy will be done,” the other of Hebrew characters to represent the word “hated,” which reportedly refer to John 15:18: “If the world hates you, know that it hated me before.” ..”

    That alone would probably be cause enough for the chair of CDP is call for a boycott. Whether the family supported the Calif. GOP or not.

  3. I make it out to California with family once every 2 years.
    I make it a point to be a pain in the ass until I get In-N-Out for the first meal upon arrival and last meal upon departure.
    That way my mother-in-law doesn’t ever feel insulted about her cooking while we are visiting and I get In-N-Out 2 times.

    The closest we have to it in Illinois is Portillos, but in all honesty it’s a very distant second to In-N-Out. (about 3000 miles distant)

    There is a In-N-Out by my in-laws that is directly next to a Chick-Fil-A. Need that here.

  4. I was actually able to stop at the Chick-Fil-A in Kalispell, Mt. on Thursday and sit down and eat lunch. Normally I would have to stop and grab but Thursday was an easy day with no stops on the east side of Flathead Lake at Big Fork which allowed me time to go head back home thru Kalispell and stop for lunch. My daughter was also appreciative since I got her a chicken sandwich as well. We need one closer to Spokane, we went to the Popeye’s in Post Falls, Id. a week ago and I wasn’t impressed and won’t go back, the service was terrible, our orders were messed up and it wasn’t all that great.

  5. @ecp-we’ve got a Portillo’s nearby, in Moreno Valley, CA right next to March Air Reserve Base. On Saturdays, we see lots of Air Force personnel having lunch. There’s a Chick-Fil-A down the street and an In N Out Burger across the freeway.
    Sometimes CA doesn’t totally suck!
    BTW-I prefer Portillo’s burgers over In N Out.

  6. I had the pleasure of meeting Lynsi a few years ago, along with the executives of In-N-Out. There was no doubt that SHE ran that company. At the time she was the youngest female billionaire in the country. Good story, and GREAT video in the link. As I recall, she grew up in Redding, California.
