Washington Times:
Republican Dan Bishop, who defeated Democrat Dan McCready in a re-do election on Tuesday in North Carolina’s 9th Congressional District, on Wednesday said President Trump deserves a lot of the credit for his win.
“We were surging — you know, I’m not sure it’s really clear to folks outside North Carolina, but I was only in this race for six months against someone who was in it for two years, and we really only were competitive in terms of funding for about six weeks,” Mr. Bishop said on Fox News’ “Fox & Friends.”
“So the president and the vice president stepping in and committing the way they did to this race was tremendous, and a lot of credit goes to the president,” he said.
Mr. Trump and Vice President Mike Pence both made recent trips to North Carolina to boost Mr. Bishop in the race, which was a do-over after the results of the 2018 contest between Mr. McCready and Republican Mark Harris were thrown out amid absentee ballot fraud charges tied to Mr. Harris’ campaign.
Mr. Bishop said he’s content to take pundits who said the race would be a preview of 2020 at their word.

And in the analysis of Bishop’s win, the DNC says that their guy, McCready, won over more Republican voters in the suburbs. This is is one of the drumbeats of the Democrats for 2020 — “the suburbs”. If I were inclined and less lazy I’d have tee shirts made up with “The Suburbs” printed on them.
“Suburbs” is a liberal dogwhistle for white supremacists punching above their weight while they still can before demographics overtake them.
Cliche G — I also think that the Dems think the “Suburbs” are full of a women who will vote identity over policy.
Dems are the only people who think they won elections they lost.
Get ready for a boatload of “uncounted” dem ballots.
You know what REALLY happened………. They were both named Dan and voters were confused…… hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
To paraphrase Joe Stalin: people who come the votes are more important than voters.
They vote as husband tells them to as he threatens to assault them in the booth.
Wasn’t that the 2016 excuse?
after the vote-rigging BS by Republican Mark Harris in the first go-around, you’d think that the voters would have been ticked off and voted for McReady the 2nd time. But nope, they made their intentions loud & clear, voting for Republican Dan Bishop in a landslide.
