NRA lobbyist Chris Cox Targeted By Anti-Gun Vandals

DC: NRA chief lobbyist Chris Cox and his family have reportedly been targeted by anti-gun vandals both at his home and at his wife’s place of business.

It’s a new tactic, according to the Washington Post, where gun control activists ramp up the pressure on certain high-profile targets by confronting them at home instead of at the NRA headquarters where they could be more easily ignored.

Cox told the Post that his Alexandria, Virginia home was sprayed with fake blood, and left-wing protesters handed out flyers outside his wife’s interior design business. They also created posters to display outside his home as well as an anti-Cox website.

Cox family attorney Elizabeth Locke called the tactics “criminal and unlawful conduct” in a statement to the Washington Post.

“Mr. and Mrs. Cox have been targeted over the past few months by repeated acts of criminal and unlawful conduct, including having their home vandalized on two occasions,” Locke said. “These coordinated tactics have crossed the line of civility and human decency.”  more here

  2. Made both my twins life members soon after their birth, but was not personally a member until RENO/CLINTON.

In my not so humble opinion, if you are a gun owner it is patently wrong to not be a member. Even if you don’t go along with every policy idea the NRA might put forth, without them our gun rights would have become non-existent over the last twenty years.

The left is gonna turn this into civil unrest where you’ll be damn glad you have your guns. Unless there perhaps was some tragic boating accident where you lost them all.

Clinton/Reno succeeded in getting ten of thousands of FFL’s to go out of business and turn in the licenses. Guess what happens when an FFL closes up shop. ALL their records (4473’s) are turned in and shipped to a warehouse (used to be in GA) and I’m sure our government would never create a data base off those records…

Don’t get me started! I’m out of tin foil to make the necessary hats.

I agree. With all the Navy Seals the NRA has on it’s payroll seems like these people would be pretty easy to fuck up. Err, I mean catch.

  4. So I s’pose shooting a few of those bastards that are terrorizing is home is out of the question. There will be a time soon where good people are provoked into something like that.

I think there’s only two ways you can interpret what went down. Either a new form of “swatting”, or some dumb ass got in his grill and paid the price.

  6. Sounds like Mr Cox needs to get a restraining order against these anti gun nuts, individually and collectively, and take them to court every time they break the order.
    That, and shoot any trespassers.
“Your Honor, I feared for my life. After seeing and repairing what they did to my property last time, I didn’t know what they would do this time.”

  7. Brad, You can “stand your ground” in VA…

But you have to let them in, and believe you are going to be harmed, not painted. Only then can you paint your own walls. Defending any property with a firearm is stupdily illegal. Our gun rights group is fine with that, and I strongly disagree. This act is an indicator that criminals have caught onto that. This needs to change – fast. Thanks for not voting party lines, Virginians.
