Breitbart: Days before the midterm elections, New York Republican senatorial candidate Chele Farley has renewed her call for her opponent, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, to return or donate to charity over $806,000 that Gillibrand received from a law firm headed by Harvey Weinstein’s long-time attorney, close adviser and business investor.
“She needs to return that money,” Farley told this reporter in an interview. “Otherwise she can’t call herself the #MeToo senator.”
“Is she the #MeToo senator? No, I think she is the #MeFirst senator.”
In August, Breitbart News reported that Boies Schiller Flexner LLP, the law firm headed by famed attorney David Boies, has been Gillibrand’s single largest campaign donor throughout her political career and at the time was the second-largest donor in the 2018 election cycle. The law firm has since become her top donor this election cycle, according to the most recent public election data.
Boies himself was widely criticized over controversial tactics he reportedly deployed to minimize the allegations of sexual assault and harassment faced by Weinstein. Gillibrand’s continued acceptance of financial support from Boies’s firm comes despite her being one of the most prominent and outspoken supporters of the #MeToo movement.
“Gillibrand returned the money she got from Harvey Weinstein, yet she is not donating this $800,000 to a sexual abuse charity, as I have been calling her out for for months,” Farley stated.
Fayley was referring to Gillibrand’s very public decision to donate the $11,800 in campaign contributions she received directly from Weinstein to RAINN, a nonprofit tending to victims of sexual assault. This while she continues to accept contributions from Boies Schiller Flexner. read more
Aww, why would she?
She’s a Democrat, isn’t she?
MSM won’t report on #ThisToo.
If it helps for Farley to make the demand, that’s one thing, but I don’t really think that Gillibrand needs to return the money unless that law firm only had one client, the vicious and coercive sexual glutton Harvey W.
Or are ALL that law firm’s clients vicious and coercive sexual gluttons?
Nice try and good for her! But, I suspect it’ll have no effect whatsoever in a state where NYC and Albany and the strip between them completely dominate electorally and repeatedly send scum like Schumer and, later, Gillibrand, to the Senate. And then there’s Nadler and others of his ilk. Perhaps NY should be written off as a dead loss by the rest of us until some of those creatures die. And, if sen. fester is reelected here, perhaps the same conclusion should be reached about MT. We need to face the fact that this insanity isn’t just about money – it IS about collective insanity.
I surely would like to be proven wrong!
