NYC Mayor Eric Adams Flunks History At Memorial Day Ceremony

RedState: Remember when politicians used to care about facts? Meh, me neither.

The Mayor of New York City Eric Adams attended a Memorial Day Ceremony at the USS Intrepid Museum. The Intrepid, like the USS Missouri at Pearl Harbor and the USS Iowa in Los Angeles Harbor, are former warships converted to floating museums. The museum has been open since 1982. When a visitor enters the Intrepid museum the ship’s bell is staring back. Like all ship bells, the year of commission is right on the bell – 1943.  In fact the USS Intrepid was commissioned in August of 1943 It didn’t make its way to Pearl Harbor until two years after the Pearl Harbor attack. 1. Mayor Adams is the product of the public school system and as such knows nothing about history. Some staffer, who also went to a public school, wrote that blurb. Neither could find Pearl Harbor on a map, and both think the Intrepid was used to ferry soldiers to the Normandy Beaches where George Washington jumped off with his horse before leading a company of SEALS up San Juan Hill.

  2. “Ya damn fed. LOL”

That was pretty odd, although when you think about it, it is about the worst insult imaginable, given the times we live in.

What’s the old saying,”Things are about to get real”? I’m reading about massive power outages and water shortages coming this summer. And in my area gas just passed 6 bucks.

I drive a Diesel truck and I think we will be at $7.00 a gallon by the end of next week. I just keep thinking about how pissed off low income voters have to be right now. I have Generac coming out next week for a quote.

  4. Brad, you’d be well advised to have him show up with a unit for delivery. I have a 20 kw unit but only a 500 gallon propane tank. I’m getting rid of that and getting a 1000 gallon tank. It might come in handy. We don’t have natural gas where I’m at, but I’d be concerned about the no good bastards shutting off the supply. I’m thinking with a 1000 gallon propane tank I can make that last a while. Granted it won’t be running constantly, but it will keep us going. Another thing I’ve thought of is that there will be bad guys driving around looking for lights that are on., or generators running. Here we are on war footing.

  5. I think availability on standby generators is poor. I have a Cummins/Onan unit and their service and parts are poor right now. Part of their problem is having enough service techs, and parts availability is not so good either.

  6. “the German air-blitz of the American East Coast during the last days of World War II” and the quote about the “New Hampshire Provo Governor, a man known for having stormed the German nuclear base in Santiago nearly single handed back in 1953.”
