Halyna Hutchins would still be alive because they had such strict covid rules that the weapons specialist WASN’T ALLOWED ON SET!
Not to relieve Alec Baldwin from culpability but this was a definite fact on set.

I do not have words for how disgusted I am by this, but I am also not surprised.
Big city FDs are used for political purposes more often than you might think, and NY was all-in on Coof pretty much to the exclusion of everything else, so of COURSE the FDNY was weaponized.

…but big city fire chiefs are political animals too, so they would have ordered it if the mayor told them to.

…I don’t know if you can really say the inspection would have prevented this. I don’t know the details about the space heater, how it was used, how the fire spread, what safety devices/alarms/doors were defeated, etc., and whether or not an inspection at one point in time would have changed a disaster at another point in time. I saw too many Section 8 apartments with no batteries in smoke detectors and wires ripped out for the copper and breakers forced on or destroyed to have any illusions about that.
But it could have.
However many Coof is said to have killed, the part of Coof that did MOST of the killing was the political part.

Oh, but think of how many deaths they prevented by enforcing mask rules.
I’m pretty confident it was zero deaths prevented.
We can say that covid claimed another 17 lives. No one cares, it’s collateral damage. What disease doesn’t consume, fire will. That’s how it’s all going to end.
