NYT, Rolling Stone, ABC, and CBS all DENIED motions to dismiss lawsuit brought by Covington teen Nick Sandmann

Sandmann’s defamation lawsuit against The Washington Post was initially dismissed. Sandmann’s attorneys later amended the complaint, reopening the suit. In July, The Washington Post settled the lawsuit with an amount not disclosed to the public. read more

  1. Words are actions and those using them as weapons against the innocent need to be held accountable for them the same way as if their actions been swinging fists as weapons against them.

    Frequently, words are far more deadly and damaging and their wounds last longer than if fists would have been used instead.

  2. Unfortunately none of them will ever be sued for enough money to teach them a lesson. They prefer to lose a $250 million law suit a month than admit their ways are evil.

  3. Maybe the NYT, Rolling Stone, ABC, and CBS should declare themselves “Forums” instead of “publishers”, you know, like Facebook, Twittwr, and YouTube, that way they can still censor ideas they don’t like, while protecting themselves against defamation lawsuits.
