O Come, O Come, Emmanuel is my favorite Christmas song. This excellent rendition by the Piano Guys has a very haunting almost lament like sound to it. To me it’s almost a very Jewish/Celtic version, it’s totally beautiful and I love cello music as well. My favorite version is John Michael Talbot’s cover of this song, What Child Is This/O Come, O Come Emmanuel from his album The Birth Of Jesus.
And not to pile on, but I do enjoy a capella, so in regard to all of our commonalities…….. https://youtu.be/wJgJVF7pSBQ
Thank you AbigailAdams-I have been searching and your hand guided me to that site. What a treasure trove!!
God bless you and bring you healing!
The music was magnificent and the musicians very accomplished. The setting could easily have been Carnegie Hall!. Blessings to all my brothers and sisters in that contributes to this blog.
I love The Piano Guys. Extra prayers for Jon Schmidt and his family.
Thank You !!!
Love when the Cello is played from soul. Few instruments capture the soul like the cello.
Thank you MJA !
Merry Christmas to all because of Emmanuel… God with us !
Rejoice!
I miss you all !
The Piano Guys are the best.
[Not trying to upstage you here, MJA, but if you haven’t heard this one by them before, you gotta give a listen: ]

In case anyone is interested in apologetics, here’s one commentary on why Mary and Joseph did not call their son “Immanuel”. http://www.apologeticspress.org/apPubPage.aspx?pub=1&issue=933&article=1400
