(The Center Square) – Ohio legislative Republicans and Democrats have joined the voting laws debate that has become part of several state legislatures across the country.
House Republicans introduced legislation late last week that Democrats said is an anti-voter measure and divides Ohioans. The bill’s sponsor, however, said it prioritizes secure and safe elections and makes it easier to vote.
The Election Modernization and Security Act would allow voters to request an absentee ballot online but would be require two-factor authentication. It also would allow automated but not automatic voter registration at the bureau of motor vehicles.
Co-sponsor Rep. Sharon Ray, R-Wadsworth, a former county board of elections member, believes the legislation simply systemizes what the state already does for elections.
“As a former member of the Medina County Board of Elections and the bipartisan Ohio Elections Officials Association, I feel strongly that Ohio does elections right,” Ray said. “The Election Modernization and Security Act will codify much of what Ohio is already doing. The integrity of Ohio’s election practices should continue to be above approach.” read more

Ohio would be a really great state if the voters in Toledo, Cleveland, and Columbus would go back to school and learn a few things. Democrats have ruined most big cities already.
The big question will weasely Gov. DeWhine (rino) sign the bill if it passes.
Introduce law to rid your state of computerized voting and you’ll get my attention.

…don’t forget Cincinnati. Once a bastion of Republican reliability, they incubated poverty and want in the city until the gentry took the land the projects were on and scattered they to infect the entire county, fomented inchoate police hatred YEARS before the REST of the country did to get the police department neutered by court order and incapable of ever having a non-Black chief again no matter HOW far they have to look for a semi-qualifed Black man, stuffed City Council with so many inexperienced felons that a full quorum of it is under indictment, ruined the courts with Affirmative Action hires that coddled juvenile murderers and judges that think it’s a racial slight if every single deputy doesn’t immediately recognize them in street clothes and without ID and wave them through the check points while greeting them by title, while setting aside gobs of money for ‘minority incubator’ businesses that fail anyway even if no laws are enforced on them, and chasing the normal people off with a lesbian sheriff whose ONLY attribute for getting the job was being a lesbian and a Black police chief who kneels with BLM in the wreckage of downtown shops.
