‘He’s Said Nothing’: Roy Moore Hits Doug Jones’ Silence on Sanctuary Cities After ‘Outrageous’ Kate Steinle Verdict.

My opponent supports amnesty and has stated that he sees no need for a border wall and has said nothing about sanctuary cities. His election would be a threat to the safety and well-being of the people of Alabama and the United States at large.  more

Obama Campaigners Dropped Another $101,000 into Alabama Senate Race from D.C. on Friday, Total Now $2.8 Million.

Three secretive Washington, D.C. consulting firms founded by former Obama campaign staffers have provided millions of dollars in advertising services, apparently entirely on credit, toHighway 31, a shell independent expenditure organization based in Birmingham, Alabama that supports liberal Democrat Doug Jones and opposes conservative Republican Roy Moore, in the 26 days since its formation on November 6.

On Friday, two of these Washington, D.C. based firms dropped another $101,612 into the Alabama U.S. Senate race on Friday, bringing the total spent to date by three firms run by Obama campaign alumni as apparent “in-kind” contributions to Highway 31 to $2.8 million in less than one month.  more here

Washington Post Poll of Alabama Senate Race Oversamples Democrats.

A new Washington Post poll of likely voters in the Alabama U.S. Senate race that shows liberal Democrat Doug Jones with a three-point lead over conservative Republican Roy Moore, 50 percent to 47 percent, was based on a methodology that includes an oversampling of Democrat voters.

The sample of 739 likely voters upon which the poll was based included 38 percent who self-identified as Republicans, 31 percent who identified as Democrats, and 27 percent who identified as independents. (See question 14 in the poll methodology here.)

This sample, which includes only seven percent more Republicans than Democrats (R +7), is not reflective of how Alabamians have voted in recent elections.   more

Alabama Democrat Doug Jones Would Push for Common Core-Type National Standards.

Alabama Democratic Senate candidate Doug Jones says the federal government should set national education standards – such as Common Core – that would enforce states’ accountability for any federal taxpayer education dollars received.

During an interview in July with Alabama Political Reporter (APR), Jones was asked:

Should the federal government be ordering the states to adopt national education standards, such as No Child Left Behind, Common Core, or Every Student Succeeds Act or should the states be given the freedom to run their own education systems without Federal interference?

Jones responded that while states have some freedom in education, he thinks that “there is a role for the federal government in many ways.”  more here

  1. I went to the Birmingham, AL newspaper and found this article.

Apparently Roy Moore spoke before a predominantly black church and several got their knickers in a twist over it and blasted his visit on social media.

But check this out. One woman, when referring to the Ten Commandments said Cannon recalls asking her mother about the 10 Commandments controversy, too.

“She said, ‘That’s a piece of stone; it’s idol worshiping,'” Cannon recalled. “‘The Ten Commandments should be written in your heart, not on a piece of stone.'”

Hahaha. Oh, the irony. Don’t forget to tell God.

  2. What’s their expectation on the investment the Alabama voters ought to be asking.

What are they expecting from Doug Jones in return?

Certainly not 10 commandment ethics and Christian values.
