Dan Bongino: After writer Joseph Epstein penned an article in the Wall Street Journal pointing out how ridiculous it is to call Jill Biden a doctor when she has a Doctorate in Education, not a medical degree, the exact kind of outrage you’d expect from the modern left followed.

We got to hear all the predictable and inevitable charges of sexism for the millionth time, and few bothered to actually address what Epstein said. Tucker Carlson came to Epstein’s defense on his show this week and went through Jill’s doctoral thesis to expose its flaws, and that too led to charges of sexism, because apparently those who deserve the title “Doctor” also shouldn’t have their work subject to scrutiny.

As cliché as it is to point out, we know that had someone one the left attacked a woman on the right for wanting to be called by a certain title, no one in the media would care enough to pretend that it’s a story worth covering.

Ironically, among those who thought calling her “Dr. Jill” is a tad ridiculous is none other than Joe Biden – at least back in 2009

  2. I think it’s racist against women. Since 1885 no one has ever questioned the need to refer to another non-medical doctor as anything other than Dr Pepper. Shame on all of you.

    And like Hillary, Jill will discover that she is a lying dog-faced Mrs. soldier who rode her one-trick pony into the ground and could go no further than it could take her.

  8. In my opinion the only time a non-medical PHD holder should be called Doctor is when they are involved in their field. If Jill Biden was at a Education conference, she would be among other educrats with varying degrees, it would acceptable to inform others in that group of her level of education.
    No one should be upset about Sebastian Gorka or Henry Kissinger “Doctor” since they tend to discuss politics and they have phds in Political Science.
