The House Ethics Panel has not agreed to release the report on former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), according to reports.
Following Wednesday’s meeting, Michael Guest (R-MS), Chairman of the House Committee on Ethics, told reporters that the committee did not reach an agreement to release the highly anticipated report on Gaetz, who resigned from Congress after President-elect Donald Trump tapped him to serve as Attorney General.
“There was not an agreement by the committee to release the report,” Guest said, according to Politico.
According to reports, many members refrained from providing details to the press. Others indicate that the report is still not completed and that they plan to finish it and meet again in December. more

My guess would be the democrats voted to not release it and the Republicans voted to release. That’s because there’s nothing to report, but the dems can still cast dispersions while the report itself remains theoretical.
This investigation happened years ago and they’ve had plenty of time to writ their report, if there was anything to report.

From what I understand the story was “leaked” to the NYT by an insider. There’s a reason why there’s so much resistance to Gaetz becoming AG.

I’ve about had it with the establishment, Mullin was on our local news this morning flapping his jaws about state politics. Running down our Superintendent of education that him putting Bibles in school is unconstitutional. For one, he’s a damn plumber, a damn plumber who took over Daddy’s business and never worked, he sat on his ass. For two, nobody is telling the truth about the Bibles. The Bible is being put in American history classrooms to teach how the Bible and Christianity played a huge part in our history.
So Mullins dumbass saying if you allow the Bible means you have to allow the Quaran is stupid, that damn book played no part in our American history, other than the fact that Muslims attacked us.
I’ve lost count of the queer/lesbian teachers he’s gotten out of our schools. Queers/lesbians who were teaching kids to be queer, giving kids queer porn books. He’s actually did something for kids in our state. Mullins hasn’t done shit for our state, kids in our state, or our country. All Mullins has done since day one is cozy up to establishment to enrich himself. So he can go to hell as well.

Gaetz dropped out, and it’s being reported (i.e. not necessarily true) that Trump’s second choice is his own lawyer. If true, then this is gonna be a clusterfuck with the Senate installing yet another swamp creature piece of shit to run the DoJ.
