Oregon DAs oppose 4 bills to release criminals

Last week 8 of 9 Female District Attorneys from across Oregon released a joint statement accusing Senate and House Democrats of proposing bills that would threaten the safety of Oregonians.

“We should not return to the days when a rapist would merely receive a probationary slap on the wrist or the man who nearly killed his wife would be simply admonished to ‘walk away next time she pushes your buttons’,” stated the news release from the Marion County District Attorney’s Office.

  1. There are ONLY TWO REASONs to release convicted criminals.

    1) Increasing innocent human suffering, misery and death. Criminals are proven to be prolific at implementing the progressive agenda in that regard.

    2) A slap in the face to law abiding individuals and those who rec’d “justice” under the law.

    When the State unilaterally makes a mockery of the latter they forfeit legitimacy in having a monopoly on law enforcement and the dispensation of justice. Vigilantism demands a good faith effort in both to maintain legitimacy. Without a good faith effort the concept of vigilantism has no moral legitimacy. In a puppet State moral legitimacy is a concept they have no regard for anyway, but they should. When government loses it’s moral legitimacy it is a precursor to armed revolution.
