Rioting is the new performance art
Curious, how do insurance companies handle property damage from rioting and are they going to continue offering it in riot friendly areas?
All that city is missing is the handle to flush it.

Caution! (Long-winded rant ahead)
So, the executive officials, mayors and/or governors of the rioting cities are demanding all the other non-affected states (including local in-state non-affected businesses and workers by riots) foot the bill for their criminal negligence of permitting, and in SOME cases encouraging the rioters to continue pillaging, looting, burning and destroying government and civilian buildings, property, businesses, and livelihoods, including murder and violence of police and citizens for weeks, if not months on end. In fact, the aftermath and/or continued devastation resembled overhead filmed images of fire-bombed Dresden during WWII.
In response, these elected officials and their sundry porridge of anti-American, anti-police appointees, and other nefarious “officials” responsible for the safety of their communities and the people they were elected, paid and assigned to, essentially urged, and/or ignored, the continuation of the rioting under the cloak of “peaceful demonstrations”; when, in fact, these were well-hidden and seldom reported on by their faithful comrades namely, the mainstream “press”.
In several to many cases, these irresponsible elected officials, and their cooperative gaggle of friends, and countless others snorting from the public trough, instead assumed, lackadaisically, that no matter how much hatred and destruction they allowed, ignored, fomented and/or happened on its own, they would all be happily reimbursed by the rest of us Americans. No problem! Just send them the bill, while acting as spoiled brat juveniles, happily destroying all in their playground’s path and while confidently concluding, that whatever destruction and livelihoods they destroyed, they could walk away washing their hands from their deliberate, indirect and/or supportive destructive actions and all would be forgotten, while beaming at gaining the praise and an assured seat in governing as heroes for years to come…NOT!
This was demonstrated fully in Portland (Multnomah District) via ignoring law and order by booking arrestees and then quickly releasing them without bail or any other penalty or restraint. There were many releases, only to be re-arrested again later, on some similar charge and then quickly released again without bail.
This occurred reportedly over 130 days of rioting. Portland police issued some 974 criminal charges against violent protestors. To date, 666 (strangely familiar number) of the 974 criminal charges have been dropped by Multnomah District. But! Don’t worry! The United States will gladly and promptly foot the bill… Really?
Of the 974 arrests, 666 were released. If not for substantiating circumstances, these accused could have been charged a fine to help pay for the damages they committed or contributed to. So, potentially if 100% of the released arrestees had paid a fine of, say, $1,000 each (as an example), the county would have hypothetically, $666,000 to help pay for the damage to the city, the police, and affected businesses and individuals who have suffered. Including all arrestees to date, under similar hypothetical conditions, $974,000, or close to a million dollars would have been collected.
Although miniscule in paying for the massive damage caused, this would at least have been a step in the right direction. It would also demonstrate to the rest of America that these elected officials were sincerely concerned over repairing their own damage (which they are responsible for), whether they played a part in the destruction or not.
Additionally, it may also further demonstrate to other unaffected Americans that these elected officials in the riot cities and towns may actually NOT be undercover criminals (possibly through election fraud), addicts, psychopaths, power-crazed or just mentally incapable of governing.
