Oregon Republicans Flip Seats and End Democrats’ Super-majority in Both Chambers

Oregon Catalyst:
Oregon Republicans overcame $1.7 million in national liberal spending to gain seats and exit super-minorities in both chambers of the state Legislature. This is the first time since 2010 Republicans have net-gained seats in both chambers.
“Republicans’ strong performance this week shows voters want balance in Salem,” said RSLC President Dee Duncan. “The end of Democrats’ unchecked power in the Legislature means the brakes can be applied to their radical liberal agenda. This is a major step in the right direction for Oregon and a foothold for Republicans to expand upon these gains in the future.”

National liberal money allowed Democrats to outspend Republicans on television in state legislative races in Oregon $5.8 million to $4.4 million. more here
