Oregon State Police Pull Out Of Protecting Portland Courthouse After City Refuses To ‘Prosecute This Criminal Behavior,’ Department Says

Daily Wire:

The Oregon State Police announced on Thursday that it was pulling out its roughly 100 state troopers from protecting the Mark O. Hatfield United States Courthouse in downtown Portland after the city’s district attorney announced that he is not pursuing charges against the rioters who have been arrested.

The Oregon State Police had committed to helping local law enforcement officials deal with the violent riots for a period of two weeks, which has now expired.

“We’re in a county that’s not going to prosecute this criminal behavior,” said spokesman Capt. Timothy R. Fox.

Fox also said: “The Oregon State Police is continually reassessing our resources and the needs of our partner agencies and at this time we are inclined to move those resources back to counties where prosecution of criminal conduct is still a priority.” more here

  1. So there’s nothing standing in between the residence of Portland and the upcoming destruction of their city. Black Lives Splatter was already in residential areas demanding homes. I guess you get what you vote for. I hope the few conservatives are well armed.

  2. Sounds like homeland security and the Feds need to move back in to protect the Federal courthouse. I wonder if the media will report a resurgence in violence as the fault of the mayor for failing to uphold his end of the bargain that had the Feds standing down?

“Is it a violation of “posse comitatus” if the President sends in the active duty military to protect the courthouse?”

No. The president is authorized by the constitution to use federal troops to quell a rebellion.

  4. what “laws” empower you d-suckers to determine a prosecutable offense? apparently not illegal to “modify” standards for arrests established by state legislature? so lawyer-dindu-da’s can do anything without penalty? not aware of a single lawsuit against a soros-da in America. see atlanta, dall-a**, s**t-congo, filth-adelphia, mass-of-2s**ts.

It is not the military being sent to protect the federal property, it is federal LEO agencies Border Patrol, Marshalls, FBI, DEA, etc.

  6. Correction to my above post: The Insurrection Act trumps the posse Comitatus Act.

§252. Use of militia and armed forces to enforce Federal authority
Whenever the President considers that unlawful obstructions, combinations, or assemblages, or rebellion against the authority of the United States, make it impracticable to enforce the laws of the United States in any State by the ordinary course of judicial proceedings, he may call into Federal service such of the militia of any State, and use such of the armed forces, as he considers necessary to enforce those laws or to suppress the rebellion.

§253. Interference with State and Federal law
The President, by using the militia or the armed forces, or both, or by any other means, shall take such measures as he considers necessary to suppress, in a State, any insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful combination, or conspiracy, if it—

    (1) so hinders the execution of the laws of that State, and of the United States within the State, that any part or class of its people is deprived of a right, privilege, immunity, or protection named in the Constitution and secured by law, and the constituted authorities of that State are unable, fail, or refuse to protect that right, privilege, or immunity, or to give that protection; or

    (2) opposes or obstructs the execution of the laws of the United States or impedes the course of justice under those laws.

In any situation covered by clause (1), the State shall be considered to have denied the equal protection of the laws secured by the Constitution.

  7. The police are pulling out? I bet some on here think that’s too soon. Hey. That reminds me. My Petey B just pulled out too soon of my unbleached elastic starfish!

  8. Here is what is going on here:

After three felony cases these Antifa can then be prosecuted as career criminals carrying a 15 year minimum with no parole and where they do 85% of the time.

These first charges set the stage for their long term imprisonment.

The DA is active working on behalf of domestic terrorists, and more likely than not has been communicating with Antifa regarding these charges. The feds should step in and charge and prosecute every damn one of them they can.

  9. They are screwed in Portland. The election for mayor this coming November is between the current mayor, Ted Wheeler and Sarah Iannarone, of the Democrat Socialists of America. She is an admitted antifa sympathizer. Talk about a choice of two losers.

  10. Portland residents need to get together and figure out how to turn blamtifa against the governor, city council and the mayor.
    Guerilla campaigns can be fun.
Set up a ‘demonstration’ date for outside some of the mayor’s relatives’ homes and businesses. Only you send in blamtifa. You can’t tell me there’s no one undercover inside those organizations, or know someone inside of them. Just pay that one guy some Starbucks and some cash.

  11. Meanwhile Austin cuts their police/911 budget by 34% and Abbott says he will send in some state safety officers. Just let them live their nightmare but all these so called officials should lose any type of personal indemnity from lawsuits if they enact policies that clearly are dangerous. And when your city comes in 1st for increases in homicide per capital and 3rd in robberies and you cut the budget by 1/3rd, how is that not reckless.

  12. I never thought the The Insurrection Act was viable solution and I don’t think Trump did either. Portland Libtard Politicians have created the perfect environment for residents to start stacking up a big Antifa/BLM body count. It’s the state and local governments responsibility to maintain law and order. They’ve refused to do so. It’s also their responsibility to prosecute law breakers. They’ve refused to do that too. I would think there’s got to be a few Militias, Citizens groups, neighborhood watch groups, getting ready for battle.
