Twenty-one civil servants resigned from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) on Tuesday, refusing to “dismantle critical public services.”
“We swore to serve the American people and uphold our oath to the Constitution across presidential administrations,” the employees wrote in a resignation letter obtained by The Associated Press. “However, it has become clear that we can no longer honor those commitments.”
The staffers who resigned worked under the United States Digital Service, an office started by President Barack Obama.
The employees said that some individuals working for DOGE head Elon Musk do not have the experience to slash the size of the federal government and they only have a political ideology.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt downplayed the resignations during a press conference. more
Meh. Holdovers.
The fake news still carrying water for the communists.
@Anon.: yeah. WHO reported this? The AP. I hope Trump keeps them out of the loop for all 4 years.
Well, the more the merrier, too bad it’s bullshit. But the day is young.
critical to what group of people, assholes?
Humans have the uncanny ability to justify anything they want to. This is a great example of taxpayer money wasted.
Just a speculation, of course, but if they’re from the oblowme regime, could they have been around when they wasted $515MM on the failed CGI (Canadian) website for O’BummerCare? Then turned around and spent another $100MM for Accenture (California company) to build a replacement.
Musk said the ones that complain the loudest are the fraudsters. I hope they dig deep into the so-called “critical systems” these guys are gate-keeping.
They were going to be fired anyway. Jump or be pushed. That’s all it is. They are hoping against hope to salvage something by jumping.
Simply put this is used by the media to make it look like everybody is turning against Trump.
And by resigning, they start to dismantle ‘public services’.
“how dare you go through our spending!?!”

Which is of course why they pledged to support Revrum Wright’s feckless “God-Damn America”-hating, Treasury-looting, economy-wrecking, healthcare-destroying, backstabbing, stone-walling, wildly spending, dope-smoking, momjeans-wearing, shame gland missing, Peace Prize-Stealing, monument-Barrycading, process-circumventing, Benghazi bullshitting, Constitution-stomping, stair-prancing, sheet-grabbing, pillow-biting, ankle-grabbing, Gay-obsessed, stumbling, mumbling, Radical, Bomb-Throwing, Marxist Muzlim Mallard (disguised as a Black man) with his plan to implement his New Communism of unnecessary, over-reaching, over-bearing, out-of-control, dictatorial “regulation”, insane Bathroom Rules for Radicals, sanitized transcripts for our “protection”, massive graft and corruption, democRAT Pay-To-Play schemes and a continuous stream of preposterous propaganda to support it.
critical to keeping your dindu-ass in a taxpayer-funded job?
“ The employees said that some individuals working for DOGE head Elon Musk do not have the experience to slash the size of the federal government and they only have a political ideology.”
Yeah, as opposed to you, whose motives are pure, right?
B’Bye!! Good thing you learned to CODE.
@Tony R: It’s interesting that people whose jobs have become politicized look at all government jobs and workers as political.
@Tony R. – Exactly. They keep telling on themselves.
Let’s be honest, 99.99% of the U.S. gov’t workforce who live within commute distance (and those working remotely before covid) of D.C. vote “D”. It was a prerequisite of their eligibility. This hasn’t been the case for just the past couple decades, it got rolling before Wilson.
