PA: Democrat candidate John Fetterman linked to creepy anime demon best known for enslaving a child

WFB: Republicans and other anti-grooming activists are seething after a photo resurfaced of Democratic Senate candidate John Fetterman’s family posing with a controversial anime character best known for enslaving a child.

The photo, which Fetterman posted on Twitter in April 2019, shows the candidate’s wife and three children posing with an exceedingly large man in a creepy demon mask and long black cloak. Experts familiar with the anime genre tell the Washington Free Beacon the masked individual was portraying the character Elias Ainsworth from the Japanese manga series The Ancient Magus’ Bride.

Fetterman claims to have been in Blair County, Pa., at the time the photo was taken at the Tekko anime convention in Pittsburgh. Nevertheless, the fact that he would even allow his children to be exposed to a character as creepy and problematic as Elias Ainsworth raised serious questions about his parenting.

Blog posts reviewed by the Free Beacon suggest the series is incredibly problematic due to how it depicts the relationship between Ainsworth, “a seven-foot-tall humanoid with an animal skull for a head,” and Chise Hatori, the 15-year-old orphan he buys at a slave action in London for five million pounds. According to a listicle published on the Comic Book Resources website, this is one of five reasons why “Chise and Eilas are [not] the perfect couple.” more here

  1. Totally different, VERY different society in Japan. The Manga & Anime comics are mainstream “literature” to them. Not sure now, but not too long ago, the age of consent was 12 for boys & girls. My son’s best friend married a Japanese girl he met in college. She has a younger sister that was married off to a 50 year old “businessman” at 13 years old. It is considered honorable over there for a much older man to have an interest in such a young girl, the family typically thinks she will be cared for by an experienced man who has a house & money. It would be a long jail term for a man in America to do this. But, as I said, VERY different society over there. My son’s friend has told me some of the crazier things in Tokyo. You can buy a can of Sapporo beer from a vending machine on the sidewalk for a few Yen. The aforementioned manga & anime characters, the same. Perhaps, well no, the weirdest thing, is used women’s undergarment’s are sold out of vending machine’s. Supposedly from schoolgirls & they sell out constantly. There are “love” hotels all over Tokyo, where a parson can rent a room for as little as 30 minutes. I agree that young children should not be exposed to that sort of “entertainment”, but I was simply stating how it is very accepted in Japan.
