Pam Bondi Warns California Will Lose Federal Funding Unless Sanctuary Policies Are Ended

Breitbart-

Attorney General Pam Bondi warned that California will lose federal funding unless Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) ends the state’s sanctuary city policies.

Bondi revealed in a post on X that the Department of Justice (DOJ) had “delivered demand letters” to sanctuary cities, counties, and states throughout the nation as part of an effort to “eradicate sanctuary policies” from California. In her post, Bondi included a letter addressed to Newsom.

In the letter to Newsom, Bondi explained that President Donald Trump had “directed” Bondi, in coordination with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Kristi Noem to “identify sanctuary jurisdictions and notify them of their unlawful sanctuary status and potential violations of federal law.”

“The United States has a long history of cooperation with state and local law enforcement agencies, including for immigration enforcement,” Bondi said. “Such cooperation is vital to enforce federal law and protect national security. Recognizing that need, Congress has codified the duty of states and local governments to cooperate in immigration enforcement efforts.” more

  1. RadioMattM – I’ve suspected as much, but in this case the “T” is right next to the “R” so I think my fat fingers own this one.

What really confuses me is that the word “keyboard” is pretty common.
Where the Hell wuz spell-check on that one???

  2. Yeah MMinWA yeah. They really ought not warn. Just turn it off. All of it. Then tell the communist bastards what they need to do to get part of it turned back on. Just keep raising the ante on the bitches one money stream at a time. As a coup de grace make them publicly apologize for being communists and recant the ideology, then change your mind and turn everything off again and start over. Hurt the communists in every way possible. As Patton is reputed to have said, grab them by the collar and kick them in the pants.

  3. More warnings… followed by absurdly long wait to act, if at all, followed by immediate decision from a dirty federal judge to resume federal payments followed by an absurd wait to reverse that decisions followed by another stupid ruling, ad infinitum, and funding never really gets stopped.

  4. OK, she did her duty and delivered the warning. Now if California ignores it, immediately cut off all aid. Do not resume the aid until it can be verefied that they are in complete compliance.
