“It was almost like our business became illegal overnight because people couldn’t get together,” said Ross Resnick, CEO of Roaming Hunger, a food truck booking service that allows people to find food trucks in real time.
Food trucks largely cater to public events such as music festivals, weddings, and even PTA meetings. But in March, when all public activities were canceled to slow the spread of the virus, the operators of these vessels had nowhere to sell their chow.
“We definitely saw a hit as we went into March and April,” Resnick said.
Before the pandemic infected the nation, the food truck industry was experiencing a dramatic expansion over the past two decades. The number of food truck establishments in 2018 was 5,970, nearly double the 3,281 in 2013, according to the Census Bureau. more
Now, the only food trucks are Antifa snack trucks. Who’s subsidizing that shit, and why are these trucks not burnt-up hulks yet?
I own a food truck since 2005. My business was devastated. Every event was cancelled. Every booking i had. The city in its beaurocratic compassion allowed us to go to parks to scrape and grovel for pennies. A few events were rescheduled for sept and oct. One was rescheduled to early August but was so poorly attended that i barely covered the entry fee and expenses.
It is not the pandemic, It is not the riots or fires. It is the democrat Governors and their mandates that are causing the problems.
My buddy’s 27 year old restaurant, bar, live music establishment is closing up. It has been the most popular place in town. Just another step in remaking everything in the image that ANTIFA desires. The politicians have managed to run every A-list business out and replace them with nonprofits and government offices, neither of which contribute anything in tax revenues.
