Peak Warmist hysteria?

American Thinker-

Michael E. Mann, the most famous and influential climatologist behind the global warming hypothesis, must be very worried. The efforts of him and his colleagues may have won the support of globalist elites, governments eager for the power regulation and taxation of energy use would hand them, corporations eager for loan guarantees, mandates and subsidies, and Big Science academia hooked on billions of dollars of federal research grants, but the general public stubbornly refuses to panic.

Speaking to Cosmos Magazine, an Australian science magazine, Mann ranked the mere questioning of his theories to be “the most villainous act in the history of human civilization.”  Worse than the Holocaust, apparently. (That will be a surprise to leading scientific questioner S. Fred Singer, a Holocast survivor humself:  more here

  1. He will be forever remembered for the hockey stick hoax. And hiding the decline. Forecast 8 more inches of snow tomorrow to go with the 8 inches we got yesterday. But that’s just weather.

  3. I live in Scotland. The average summer high is 64. Even here we are told that a couple of degrees increase will somehow prove catastrophic. Maybe we’ll be overrun by… tomato plants that can survive outside, or something.
I guess in the USA everyone outside Alaska, Maine and Wyoming is dead already.

  4. Mann – the 21st Century’s Lysenko.

When the power of the Globaloney Politburo is broken, the cowardice, fecklessness, and pusillanimity of the “scientific” establishment will be obvious to all.

  5. The Egyptians worshipped the sun for good reason.
The Sun and it’s changes control our environment, and vulcanism.
    Anything else is hogwash
    Prepare for the cold.

  6. I am sick and tired of Winter this year and all the friggin snow this month with up to another 5 inches tonight. Bring on the global warming and melt all the snow, please. Maybe we’ll have a normal Summer with all the runoff from a larger than average snowpack up in the mountains.

  7. In response to “Lazlo the Elder” – I agree. I remember my Grade 6 Geography class (back in the 1960’s) in which our teacher would draw a sun in yellow chalk with little wavy lines radiating towards the Earth. Earth’s climate is controlled by the sun spots (or lack thereof) on the Sun. The Sun currently has no sun spots (or solar storms)and so the Earth is in a “global cooling” period These periods generally last about 30 years. It was warmer in the 1980’s, 90’s and the early 2000’s. But not anymore!
