Firefighters and other first responders responded Friday to reports of a partial building collapse with people trapped inside just a few blocks from Yale University.
Seven injured people have been removed from the building already, including two in critical condition and no fatalities, according to the Associated Press.
Multiple ambulances were spotted at the scene and one person was removed in a stretcher.
This is a developing story.
I thought I was going to have to file this one under “Too Many Teslas”, but it looks like poor construction practices, poor design or both!
If Yalies are as good at Engineering as they are at Political Science, that might help explain this.
Anyway,
Dear Lord, we come before you today to ask Your mercy on these people. Protect them from further harm, numb their wounds, staunch their bleeding, and guide their rescuers to them to free them from their peril. And Lord, please hold Your mighty hand over those rescuers, keep them safe from hurt, harm, and danger, let them hear the faintest cry and give them strength to reach their victims, wisdom to help and not harm, speed to get them to safety, and the mercy of forgetting when the day is over. There is much help needed here but all things are possible with You, and may all see Your hand in this as a testament to Your glory and Your mercy.
In the precious name of Jesus we pray,
Amen
God Bless,

How many must die before we ban collapsing building?
