Philadelphia Media Blame Grocery Store Shortages on “The Winter of Severe Illness and Death”, Omicron

The absence of food will change things….. Quickly.

CTH: The issues will fluctuate region by region and chain by chain as we enter the destabilization phase.  In this phase the impacts in some operators will be small, and in others will be more noticeable.  The difference will be the overall operational excellence in the proprietary business system they operate.

However, once the internal merit is exhausted, the manufacturing issues will impact all food retailers regardless of their warehouse and distribution excellence, or lack thereof.  Ironically, small independent stores might be in the best position to withstand fresh supply pressure as they are closer to the field.

The further away the retail business operation is from the farmer, the greater the impact.  The more people, systems and bureaucracy there are between the retailer and the farmer, the greater the operational impact.  The longer the supply chain, the greater the impact.  It is an unusual dynamic, but the local farmers’ markets are going to be the best source of consistent local supply.  That reality is why the urban areas are going to be hit the hardest. more here

  1. Really?

I think I Have Coof right now, since yesterday.

Testing in Toronto has been reserved for “Hi Risk” They told everyone that if you don’t feel right, ” assume you have CooF!”

I’m Not eligible. (Like I would go anyway)

So far it has been held at bay. I’m still alive.

    The remedy seems to be:
Fried Chicken, Beef Ribs, Knockwurst, Vienna Lager & Winter Bock, Crown Royal Black & Evan Williams Bourbon. (On the rocks folks, You don’t want to dehydrate.)

Working out helped a lot as well as watching concerts & sports.

    Fuck!

This is MORE FUN than being healthy!

I’ll let Y’all Know If I die Tomorrow.

    Or maybe Not, IDGAF!

  2. Canada was set to ban UnVaxxed US TRUCKERS from entering Canuckistan as of midnight.
They Boasted for 2 weeks that the deadline was coming and it was irreversible as Fag Boy Puffed his Girly chest.

    Guess what! He balked.

LAST MINUTE REVERSAL! I guess FAG BOY didn’t want his cocklickers to STARVE.

    TOO BAD

    WAY TO GO US TRUCKERS!

    I LOVE YA!

  3. One thing about shortages and anticipated shortages – businesses lose money when they run short of things, so they put a lot of effort into getting stuff there or finding alternatives. Also, higher prices motivate entrepreneurial types to get stuff there.
Of course the big block is transportation, not supply. And there will be shortages. But I don’t really see starvation on the table, except perhaps for those wholly dependent on the government.
