It’ll make a big splash.
For carrying illegals home…I’m all in…
It’s for moving wind turbine blades (eyeroll). Dead tech for dead tech.
“The WindRunner was designed to carry massive wind turbine blades, which are impossible to transport via terrestrial means.”
So I guess as long as the wind farms are being built right next to an airport it should work out.
Lizzo’s private jet…
A plane large enough for Jill Biden’s ego.
@Harry – this is the only plane Lizzo can fit into. Note how it opens.

How about ceasing production of unreliable wind mills.
LCD – I’ve seen the Antonov 225 when it came to NASA Lewis here in Cleveland, but it is no longer.
So it will carry 2 blades at a time?
Will make 3 round trips to China, to build 2 windmills.
That’s some green? energy.
Not the biggest, check out the SKY HOTEL.

hope Boeing doesn’t build it…
hope Boeing doesn’t build it…
Maybe they should just build kits… leave the QC to someone else!!
All we need now is more wind turbines to make more wind and airplanes don’t need engines at all to fly.
u need lots of room to haul sheboons around
Kill the fraudulent wind energy scam. No more taxpayer money. Harvest methane hydrate, put OPEC out of business.
As it stands now, these giant wind turbines will never, during their 20-25 year lifespan, generate the same amount of energy that went into building them. Wind turbines are a negative benefit – meaning they use more energy than they will produce AND they will be an environmental menace whey they have to be torn down and put someplace.
I hope it is not designed by Boeing.
When the bottom drops out of the bat-chomping, bird-slicing eco crucifix (Thanks Mr. Delingpole) market, and it’s looking a bit creaky already, there’ll need to be an alternate money-making use for these things. I wonder how many wanna-be hajjis could be crammed into one. 2,000? 3,000? Airbus A380s have “officially” carried over 700 but some have estimated a few have been stuffed with close to 900.
A “6,000 foot runway”. That means it can land at most any “general aviation” aerodrome. Crowd out the little Cesnas.
“So I guess as long as the wind farms are being built right next to an airport it should work out.”
Not to mention the windmill component factories.
Uncle Al, judging by the look of these planes, they are not built to carry relatively heavy loads, instead built to carry long, lightweight windmill wings and towers. I bet this plane could only carry a disappointingly small number of passengers or an unimpressive load of normal cargo relative to its dimensions. It’s literally useless white elephant for any other purpose.
Maybe they should sling those blades under hydrogen zeppelins.
And how would this compare with Howard Hughes “Spruce Goose”?
