Politico Says: With Olympics Looming, No One in Charge in L.A.

No one seems to be in charge in Los Angeles, with planning for the Summer Olympic Games in 2028 stalling, and union and business leaders at each other’s throats, according to an analysis published Sunday in Politico.

Politico wrote:

After Mayor Karen Bass enacted a new minimum wage that would guarantee tourism workers $30 per hour in time for the 2028 games, airline and hotel companies began working to repeal the law via referendum. A labor union that had lobbied for the wage bill immediately retaliated with four ballot initiatives targeting the travel industry, including to require voter approval for new stadiums and meeting centers. Local chamber of commerce heads then countered with an initiative that would slash the gross-receipts tax paid by city-based companies.

  1. The IOC ought to just find a permanent venue and stick with it. I bet there’s some place in Alaska that has suitable weather and topography for both Summer and Winter games. Build villages for the athletes, hotels for the spectators, residence inns for seasonal workers, and bars for the locals.

  2. Perhaps I’ve been wrong, I’ve always figured it was the lefy-liberal, anti-American pieces-of-shit that were in charge….regardless of voter input.

Just try to imagine what liberals would/could do if they didn’t have an ‘endless’ supply of tax-payer money.

  3. Seriously, President Trump to the rescue. Gruesome Newsom barely knows his a** from a hole in the ground. Big Mouth Bass is even worse. She’s chaos on steroids. No way they know how to organize the operations for an Olympics.
