Portland Protests Push Mayor Out Of His Condo

OAN Newsroom

The mayor of Portland is planning to move as soon as the riots outside his condo cease. In an email, Ted Wheeler told the other tenants of his Pearl District condo he would be vacating the space to find a new place to live.

He stated he’s making the move for his and everyone else’s “safety and peace.” The mayor has also apologized for bringing everyone into his politics.

“I want to express my sincere apologies for the damage to our home and the fear that you are experiencing due to my position,” he said. “It’s unfair to all of you who have no role in politics or in my administration.”

Demonstrators have notably swarmed the area surrounding the building, where they continue to call for his immediate resignation.

“(I am here) because Ted Wheeler should resign. …Last night, 100 cops arrested 29 peaceful protesters. Meanwhile, down the street from my house, one family’s house was shot up. They didn’t have cops there for 17 hours because he’s so busy arresting people like me, peaceful protesters.” – Robin McAlpine, protester

Footage showed some protesters setting fires, breaking windows and even perpetrating assaults. MORE

SNIP: Peaceful. lolol.

  1. What condo board in the city will want the toxicity that this shithead brings?? IF he tries buying a house?? IT better be in a well gated ‘community’…

He has NO effing clue, no MATTER where he goes he will be ‘hunted’ by them.

They will literally follow the moving trucks and it’ll be posted, WATCH.

…haha, you used “honorable” in a sentence about a Democrat, you lose all your points…

  3. If this fool, Mayor Ted, really believes he has endangered the other residences of his apartment building just ” because of his position”. {I didn’t hear him say “positions”, as in his political views”, therefore I’m assuming he meant his position as mayor] He’s a bigger fool than I imaged. He is believing his own line of BS. The same goes for anyone who believes him. Or voted for him.

He’s being pushed out of his apartment building because he was elected to a position with the responsibility to put a stop to riots asap after they first started, and he failed to do so. And continues to refuse to do his duty 100 days later. Anyone with a smidgen of common sense knows that.

  4. Dang it, I can’t find the local story I read this morning that said Ted Wheeler has a house on the Oregon Coast and another in southwest WA state. So, boo hoo for him having to vacate his high rise pied-à-terre.

  5. Sounds like a GREAT strategy. How about the right-wing march on the OLDEST SERVING Congressman and Supreme Court justice’s personal homes, until they succumb to term limits.

    WAY past due.
