The best thing I’ve seen about the Olympics. Perhaps competitive base memeing should be included in future games, seems like they’ve tried just about everything else to find an audience.

Russia is not allowed to compete as a county. Some of its athletes will compete as individuals.
This makes all medals won at Paris suspect. International sports organizations have been kicking Russia out of competitions since the start of the Russia-Ukraine war.
Yes, of course, politics is deeply embedded into sports, and sports is deeply embedded into politics. The NBA markets heavily in China regardless of the murdering communists who run the country with an iron fist.
