CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) – President Donald Trump signed an Executive Order aimed at helping Americans with pre-existing conditions with their healthcare coverage, among other things, during his trip to Charlotte Thursday.
The order, according to the White House, is first in American history to make it the policy of the United States to protect those with pre-existing conditions as part of the president’s newly announced America First Healthcare Plan.
This is especially important, officials say, if the Affordable Care Act is struck down. The president has repeatedly vowed to replace the ACA with a “much better plan.”
The news came as the president returned to North Carolina for his 14th official visit, this time to the city of Charlotte, to discuss healthcare. more
No matter how you look at it, no matter how you define or defend it, this is still Federal control of healthcare, the government making your choices for you instead of you having the freedom to make them for yourself as you see best fits your position in life.
Really doesn’t matter much though, not to those that don’t mind loss of freedom to make your own choices.
And after all, control of your healthcare is a delegated Constitutional duty of the Federal government.
Not insurance – subsidy.
At least President Trump doesn’t attempt THAT stupid lie.

If there is going to be government subsidies for health care it should be for catastrophic care. Traditionally (before Obama messed things up) buying insurance for catastrophic care was pretty inexpensive. It is the nickel and dime stuff that drives up costs. Take the incentive for people to go to the ER for a hang nail and the cost of healthcare would probably fall like a rock.
However, I wonder how many serious health issues would be ignored if the government controlled the purse strings.
