The American people do not ever get crucial, truthful information, but members of Congress do, and perhaps the President does, too. But even they do not always get information that could and would affect very important decisions they make. (Like about Venezuela) If the American public actually knew critical reality, most would not be so gullible for supporting US wars of aggression. That is why US officials, the US Military, and the MSM collaborate in lies to deceive Americans into supporting military and politically destructive policies. Remember the Abu Graib prison torture scandal in Iraq? The condemning evidence for that was hidden from the public and from the Congress members, too. And that is just one episode in time out of years of Americans being kept ignorant of truth. (Other critical truths hidden from the American public is that not all American POWs from previous wars were released from enemy captivity, but knowingly left behind. Don’t believe it? A court case instigated by the American Civil Liberties Union in 2004 led a federal district court to order the government to release all photographic and video evidence of inmate abuse and torture.
