(Substack)—President Donald Trump posted a heated, extensive message on social media Thursday night, addressing the ongoing legal fight over his proposed tariffs.
On Thursday, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit permitted Trump’s tariffs to stay in place temporarily, following a Wednesday ruling by the U.S. Court of International Trade that Trump exceeded his authority under the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA).
On Truth Social, Trump stated that the U.S. Court of International Trade “incredibly” ruled against the “desperately needed” tariffs, though the federal court stayed the order.
“Where do these initial three Judges come from? How is it possible for them to have potentially done such damage to the United States of America?” Trump’s post read. “Is it purely a hatred of ‘TRUMP?’ What other reason could it be?”
Trump then criticized Leonard Leo, a chairman on the Federalist Society’s board. He noted that, as a newcomer to Washington, he relied on the conservative legal group to select judges. MORE

The Federalist Society are all about globalism. If you think they are on our side you’ve been lied to. This was a desperate attempt to stop Trumps America first agenda.
Mr. Liberty — I’m sorry, but you’re inaccurate on this. Back in his first term I did the deep dive on the Federalist Society. What I learned about them made my heart sink, and I was convinced of Trump’s naivete and his utter reliance on someone who was doing him dirty on their advice. Assoc Justice Amy was the worst of the worst. It was incredibly easy to find videos of her giving presentations and interviews in which she made it really clear what her judicial bona fides are and they were nothing like who she presented at the confirmation hearings. Everyone was hugely impressed with her ability to speak without notes, but paid no attention that she was the one least picked-apart by the Democrats.
The Federalist Society most represents the political outlines of the Bush family and hard-core RINOs. They may just as well be an open society, rather than thought of as conservative — at all. Not the people who would advise on the constitutional powers of the executive.
….It is answer to prayer that Trump now knows the truth of the Federalist Society. Better late than never. I hope he counts coup on the guy(s) who steered him in their direction and that he now has a competent person or persons doing screening on future picks.
