Initial results of the Trump policy of using tariffs and trade deal re-negotiations have demonstrated their effectiveness and set the U.S. economy on a more productive future path. This is made particularly clear when we take a look at the dire consequences of over-reliance on Chinese goods.

“..have demonstrated their effectiveness and set the U.S. economy on a more productive future path.”
My turn at this: How about: TRUMP — WITH THE AID OF ABOUT THE SAME NUMBER OF PEOPLE WHO CAN RIDE IN MY FORD MINI-VAN AT ONE TIME — IN THE SPACE OF THREE YEARS’ TIME, HAS COMPLETELY TURNED THE U.S. ECONOMY FROM DUMPSTER FIRE TO WORLD POWERHOUSE.
There. Fixed it.
And yeah, he’s only been talking about the gaping national security risks of outsourcing goods and services of vital national interest for at least 20 years. He’s very practical. Any CEO with two brain cells knows you must always be prepared to provide, in-house, anything that is essential to the continuity of their business. What if, say, your suppliers suddenly want to compete against you? Duh?
Who were the pucking morons who instigated the ssupply chain through China, our biggest enemy in the world, The next bastard we catch stealing secrets should. be shot dead without fanfare,
They’re not the enemy of global corporations, Extirpates. Just ask Walmart, Amazon or Google.
We should suspend ALL trading with known communist countries, whose goal is to undermine democratic countries. Let them trade with other communists.
If you’ve listened to DJT from around 2012 his intentions are to make our economy totally independent of the Chicoms.
@ Extirpates March 12, 2020 at 12:06 am Who were the pucking morons who instigated the supply chain through China,
The answer is “Bill Clinton and George Bush in the 1990’s”. Look up: China Most Favored Nation Trade Status”
Uncle Al could have reminded us but he is sleeping like we should be.
When Trump was saying that Canadian steel was a security threat, Socks Turdo, acted like it was “Not True and Hurtful”.
I told my Idiot neighbors that what Trump meant was…
The US being reliant on steel and any other goods from OTHER countries was a security risk if supplies for war and peacetime manufacture could be cut off by those countries. (Economic war as well)
Your country (USA) must be self sufficient to stay strong and free. The assholes up here have been no different than Europe in becoming dependent on cheap Chinese shit and not considering long term dependency once factories have all shut down.
FOOD, WATER, STEEL, TECHNOLOGY, and MEDICINE are all critical Trump knew this well before entering office. In business you always have Multiple Suppliers.
10 Gov’t owned Chinese suppliers are only ONE SOURCE in a Communist Regime.
