The Pentagon announced further troop withdrawals from Iraq today not long after President Donald Trump was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts in the Israel-UAE peace deal.
According to the Associated Press:
The United States is reducing its troop presence in Iraq this month from 5,200 to 3,000, the top American commander for the Middle East said Wednesday, as President Donald Trump tries to make good on his campaign promise to get America out of “endless wars.”
During a visit to Iraq, Marine Gen. Frank McKenzie, the commander of U.S. Central Command, said the reduction in Iraq reflects the Trump administration’s confidence in the ability of U.S.-trained Iraqi security forces to handle the militant threat from the Islamic State group, which entered Iraq from Syria in 2014. more here
Yay!
And if the mooselimbs try to get agressive again firebomb them from drones.
Pull them all out. There’s not one fucking thing in Iraq worth an American soldier’s life. Should never have been there in the first place. Iraq is a problem for the Middle East to solve, not us.
Let’s round up our sheep and get the flock out.
I agree with Anonymous, above.
Of course the Democrat media claims that this means that Trump has “broken his promise to bring the troops home”.
This is very good news. But keep at it, President Trump, keep at it.
