It was no coincidence that President Trump “re-authorized” declassification on the eve of the VP debate. He knows there will be no declassification, he just wants it back in the news today.
This, and his ordering Congress to send standalone bills on airline bailout and paycheck protection, are table-setting foe Pence tonight at the debate. Biden tried to blame Trump for the relief impasse in Congress, and Trump countered with “Ask Pelosi and Schumer”, but dickhead Wallace shut that down and moved on. Tonight, Pence gets to serve it up cold, and Harris has to swallow it like the pro she is.
None of this can wait for a second Presidential debate which may never happen. I guarantee that Trump has made clear to Pence the importance of emphasizing these two points tonight.
He can declassify all he wants, but none of the MSM will give it any attention, with the possible exception of Fox.

“Authorizing” declassification and “ordering” declassification are hugely different. One leaves the decision-making to someone else.
You have to wonder at what point did the DOJ stop pursuing criminal charges against criminal politicians and government branches? I would wager around the original Bush administration, but since I wasn’t born yet I have no idea if I’m right or not.
