DC: Producers behind the upcoming film focusing on Ted Kennedy and the Chappaquiddick incident purchased ad space to play during and just before CNN’s upcoming miniseries “American Dynasties: The Kennedy,” sources familiar with the film’s promotion strategy told The Daily Caller News Foundation.
Entitled “The Truth,” the movie trailer will play on CNN Sunday before the premiere of “American Dynasties,” with other ads playing during commercial breaks throughout the series in the coming weeks.
The 62-second commercial features various distraught members as they react to the fatal 1969 car crash, before ending with the hashtag #THISREALLYHAPPENED.
“Chappaquiddick” is said to present a critical look into Ted Kennedy’s behavior around the evening that ended with the death of Mary Jo Kopechne. Kennedy did not report the accident until 10 hours later, with Kopechne drowning inside the car.
The film also implies that Kennedy’s accident was a result of drunk driving and not a blameless tragedy. Kennedy was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and received a two-month suspended jail sentence. more here
If you should choose to watch this film, I suggest you don’t eat anything. Or have a barf bag handy. I’m not going to watch. Ralphing is not one of my favorite things.
I predict more CNN satellite feed failures intermittently during commercial breaks.
If this is truly an honest expose we need to support this film and it’s makers so that other liberal cover-ups can be turned into films. There is a treasure trove of material out there.
The sad thing is Mary Jo’s death.
What is almost as sad is Massachusetts would likely still be electing this motherfucker if he were alive. 🙁
Massholes, many are that stoopid.
This is pure karma, a little late, but karma.
Four hundred thumbs up!!!!!!!!
I think this is hilarious. The timing couldn’t be better — or worse, depending on who you are. An anti-Kennedy film trailer to be played during a CNN tongue bath. Fucking BRILLIANT!
