A group of protesters in Tennessee is attempting to create an autonomous zone near the state’s Capitol in Nashville.
On Friday night, a group of 50 protesters camped out in front of Tennessee’s Capitol with the goal of establishing an autonomous zone, a similar occupation strategy to that used by activists who created the “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone,” or CHAZ, in Seattle.
Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, a Republican, said he would protect peaceful demonstrations, but he warned that “autonomous zones” will “not be tolerated.”
“We encourage Tennesseans to exercise their First Amendment rights and have seen many examples of peaceful protests across our state in recent weeks,” Lee said in a message on Twitter. “As demonstrations continue, we will continue to protect Tennessean’s right to peaceful assembly, while also reassuring citizens that lawlessness, autonomous zones, and violence will not be tolerated.”
“Further, Tennessee law expressly prohibits camping on state property not expressly designated as a campground area, and that law will be enforced.”

Funn how all of these autonomous zone still expect to be supplied by the country they disowned. I say block them off, cut off all utilities, and let them fend for themselves.
Other than that they are just like what passes for “hunger strikes” these days — they don’t eat except for those three times a days so they can maintain their strength.

Until their unrealistic and dangerous demands are met. Arrest them for trespassing. Impose a curfew. It isn’t that hard to end this crap before it starts. About time some grown ups start challenging the lawlessness of these so called demonstrators. And once they realize they aren’t going to get away with it they’ll move on. Even Portland stopped them from putting up a new zone the other night.
Stop telling them about the law. They were warned.
Now do your job.

I like Gov. Lee’s invoking the camping-in-a-campground-only law. Simple, but effective.
Besides, in campgrounds they’d have firepits and picnic benches. No need to loot Walmart and drag furniture for miles.

There are government facilities they can enter and “take over”…and they already have razor wire and armed guards. You know, to keep “undesirables” from getting in.

I have a conservative friend who moved to the Nashville outskirts a few years ago, he is very concerned. Seems that the main problem is the Nashville mayor, who is more welcoming of the usurpers. It wouldn’t take to much to quell this – Nashville has plenty of conservatives and gun owners who don’t want another Seattle – but the civic leadership could enable it.
Tennessee has a real governor unlike unlike our clueless, cowardly chicken shit governor in Wash. state Jay Inslee. Give the order Governor Lee and arrest these trespassers before they get a chance to even get started.
I like the idea @Professor Lazlo suggested in another article comment: crop dust / spray them with sugar water twice a day and let the bugs drive ’em out.

We are not writing her off yet. As kids age, they start to realize their parents were right about most things.
Stagger your will out over 5 year increments. I have no idea about ages involved but this is how we did it:
40 year old – 1/4 payout
45 – 1/4
50 – remaining.
Goal was to make them work early on with whomever they married:

A bit of money when they are in the thick of having kids.
Some recovery money during the anticipated divorce years.
Last bit of money when they have gotten rid of a bad spouse or have had a good marriage and are realizing how much it takes to retire.
