MyNorthWest: Residents and business owners in Seattle are literally begging city leaders for help as homelessness and crime take over neighborhoods.
Parks are covered in tents with used needles left near playgrounds. Employees are being hassled by aggressive homeless individuals near their offices. Homeowners witness daily criminal acts.
Unfortunately, the city council and mayor’s office is, again, ignoring the community. It’s what they do. And honestly it’ll never change, so let that sink in.
A decade after fighting to keep a green space from becoming a parking lot, residents in Lake City no longer have Albert Davis Park. The council and mayor gave it to criminal homeless.
The 50-tent encampment at the small park isn’t just an eyesore. It’s dangerous. more here

I imagine the leaders there like the people begging them for help, sorta like the French Aristocracy did before about 1790 or so.
I have no sympathy whatsoever for the city of Seattle. I hope that the leaders you have elected run you into ruins. And don’t you dare come groveling to me asking for federal funds to clean up your mess. You get what you deserve.
With a 12 round drum, there’s a reason why the Striker-12 shotgun was called, “the Street SWEEPER.” 😎
I have watched and commented on the steady decline of Seattle for four decades. Previous to it ramping up about fifteen years ago, most people were not recognizing what I was talking about. Even those who can remember arguing with me over where Seattle was headed seem to be in denial about how evident it was to me how quickly things would go completely off the rails once critical mass was achieved.
““I’ve seen a young girl literally pulled out of a vehicle yelling, pulled into a tent while I’m on the phone with 911.”
…and you just stood by and maybe let a rape happen because you’d rather wait for ‘someone to do something’.
…Seattle, I think I see where your REAL problem is, and why it’s not likely to get any better…
Stop begging, start shooting
I’m becoming an advocate for vigilantism, however if that approach is taken, just watch how fast the police come running.
Harbor Freight sells a nice propane-fired Chi-com weed burner that would work really, really good on a tent city. Give it a try!
Hey, when did IOTWR switch to putting most recent comments at the top?? Very disorienting.

My brother lives in a nice north Seattle neighborhood. To get there you have to pass homeless encampments in grassy medians. One day soon they will encroach on his neighborhood and he will reap the rewards of his liberal ways. Maybe then he will pull his “Hate Doesn’t Live Here” sign from his front yard.
… or they could vote for change.
Send all those worthless, disgusting druggies, derelicts, felons, losers, fugitives, perverts, homos, hookers, free-shitters, thieves, drunks, commies, and other useless democrats to Portland. Mayor Wheeler’s dream is to make Portland worse than San Francisco. Mayor Wheeler only has a few weeks left to pander to parasites so get on it, Seattle. CHOP CHOP.
To the beggars of Seattle begging about the beggars….you have achieved the utopia you so richly deserve. Suck it Seattle…
Only a matter of time before it becomes too dangerous for food to be trucked in, then sit back and watch the animals literately eat each other.
The author sounds like part of the patriarchy — in a dress.
If the elected leaders aren’t doing their jobs to protect their electorate, maybe now it’s time for the people to form a small vigilante committee and just start making people……disappear. SOMEONE has a boat, I’m sure. Puget Sound is right there. And crabs and fish gotta eat, too.
