Rap Concert Mass Shooting Victims File Lawsuit Against Rapper

TTAG: A peaceful gangster rap concert in Wallingford, Connecticut was unexpectedly rocked by violence last December. Following the end of a Meek Mill rap concert two individuals were killed and two more injured during a mass shooting event in the parking lot. Now, families of the victims as well as the injured victims themselves are filing suit against the rapper and the venue for failing to provide a safe space for their entertainment.

From the Courant:

The lawsuit alleges that Oakdale and concert promoters didn’t provide enough security or take measures to control the crowd even though they were aware other Meek Mill’s concerts had ended in gun violence.

SNIP: Okay, look. If they knew his concerts usually ended in gun violence, why the hell did they go? It’s like going to a 4th of July party and not expecting fireworks.

  1. Sounds like the story of the dude, or dudettes, who was granted 3 unpaid vacation days, withdrew $900 from their account at a The Peoples Bank, to pay for an airline ticket from United AL, and 4 nights reservation at Holiday Inn – so they could be at the weekend riot to start the revolution.

Then got punched in the face by someone who didn’t want to put up with their crap. Now they’re suing their employer for granted the time off, suing the bank for letting them withdraw the money, suing United for transporting them, and suing HI for providing a place to sleep. Afterall, they didn’t expect to be punched in the face while trying to whack someone with a wine bottle to kick some azz during the riot.

  2. @Aaron Burr:

I can’t believe we’re focusing on this and the not the diabetes “miracle shake” ad.

I’ll get to the diabetes ad as soon as I answer the last of these 7 GRE questions that turned out to be 47 8th grade questions.

  3. “unexpectedly”

they keep using this word but I don’t think they know the definition.
