  1. Amazing story. I’m alway partial to those flight crew picture as my father was a side gunner in a B24 and one thing we salvaged after he died were multiple flight crew pictures. I can stare at them for hours just trying to figure out what was going thru pops mind at 19 years old. Tuff people.

  2. When hit by field artillery or bombs, there would not even be a piece big enough to identify.
Very brave men face death daily for their country! I salute you all!!!!

  3. If only today’s youth could relate to the dedication of patriotism, honor and integrity of those that fought for the freedoms we experience today that are blatantly trampled and dismissed as no big deal by the liberally indoctrinated conservative haters.

  4. I have a Canadian cousin who was in the RAF 1939 as flight sergeant
in a Whitley bomber and having done his 40 runs he volunteered for another run and went down in Belgium during Operation Hanover in July 1941 with the whole crew. These guys were fearless, and had a love of country and a realization of who the enemy was and how dangerous they were that the most of this younger generation here have no idea. The village where they crashed, to this day has a memorial service to honor these hero’s.

  5. God Bless them.
    RIP

Slightly off topic, I read about a Canadian, during WWII, who traveled to CA to join the Marines.
When he was discovered to be a Canadian – he was DEPORTED!
Ain’t that some shit? Apparently, the FedGove (and local Law Enforcement) took immigration seriously.

    izlamo delenda est …
