Rep. Sasquatch (D-TX) Loses Seat

Gateway Pundit:
Representative Al Green, who has served Texas’s 9th Congressional District since 2005, will finally leave office.

The Texas Legislature, led by Republicans, passed a legal redrawing of congressional maps that effectively eliminates District 9. Green, best known not for legislation but for shouting down President Trump during his address to Congress in March 2025, will be removed from office after nearly two decades of loud, ineffective, and divisive politics.

Unsurprisingly, Rep. Al Green called the redistricting racist. But the only racial injustice here is the Democrat Party’s decades-long abuse of district lines to cling to power.

In his angry press release, Green declared that the elimination of his district—along with TX-18, TX-29, and TX-33—was part of a “racist, unconstitutional scheme” led by President Trump’s Justice Department and Attorney General Ken Paxton. more

  1. Technically, he’ll be there until next November when he and Jazzy will likely be shown the unemployment line. Bro has been there long enough to have skimmed enough money to enjoy several lifetimes. The phony hoodrat will be grabbing the cash with both hands while she looks for another hustle.

  2. While I’m ok with this asshat being shown the door, I’ve never understood why Congressional districts aren’t defined by county boundries instead of the dog-legged crazy quilt shit they come up with.

  3. No one is keeping him from running in his new district other than himself. If Representative Green was doing such a great job for his constituents in his old district he should easily be able to convince citizens of his new district to send him back to congress again. He should have a campaign chest to fund his re-election as well as all the advantages of an incumbent to easy his way back into office.
