Report: 14 y/o awarded $25k after developing soap that treats skin cancer

DMUK: A 14-year-old boy has been named America’s Top Young Scientist for developing an affordable bar of soap that treats skin cancer.

Heman Bekele, a ninth grader at W.T. Woodson High School in Annandale, Virginia went head-to-head with nine other finalists in the 2023 3M Young Scientists Challenge and took home the $25,000 grand prize.

Bekele made the cancer-fighting soap by infusing medicinal soap with three ingredients that have been found to reactivate dendritic cells that generate an immune response to combat cancer. more

  2. I would guess he actually is a 1st Gen immigrant and does not buy into the victimhood. He did something anyone could do but hadn’t. and way cheaper than Pharma. Kudos to him

  3. My 62 year old friend just got 2 melanomas on the back and is very scared. 2 of the ingredients are over the counter. One is prescription for acne. I hope this actually works.
I knew a man who got it and was dead in 6 mos.
