Report: COVID-19 lab leak scrutiny has led to less ‘gain-of-function’ virus research

BPR:

Increased scrutiny of the possibility that the COVID-19 virus leaked from a lab in Wuhan, China has led to less gain-of-function virus research, The New York Times reported.

Gain-of-function experiments, which consist of scientists genetically mutating a virus to make it more lethal and contagious, have been declining because of heightened scrutiny, according to the NYT. Due to many experts considering it likely that this research led to the leak of COVID-19 from the Chinese laboratory, scientists are not proposing the experiments as much anymore and government agencies have been less likely to approve it. more here

  1. 400 US labs around the world most certainly have NOT STOPPED doing anything. That is something the GOP congress and Trump could have ended when this all started and it was becoming more and more obvious that bioweapons labs around the world are there to wipe us all out…but then didn’t. Most of the fear in the Ukraine war is that US Government anti-species work will be exposed, and no doubt ties back to Obama, Biden, and Hunter will be widely exposed.

  2. Huh. How can there be less than none? Seems to me, my government assured me it did not engage in such nefarious research…

Unfortunately, my brother and tens (?), hundreds(??) of thousands more of our fellow citizens are still dead from the research our government did not fund, which did not escape the lab. Lying, murderous, soulless bastards. (That goes for the government AND the NYTimes.)
