DAILY CALLER: An associate of Arizona Sen. John McCain is invoking his Fifth Amendment rights in order to avoid revealing information to Congress about the Steele dossier.

David J. Kramer, a former State Department official, pleaded the Fifth in response to a subpoena issued in December by the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, Fox News reported.

In a Dec. 19 interview with the committee, Kramer said that he had information about some of the sources of information in the dossier, which was written by former British spy Christopher Steele and financed by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee.

Kramer learned the information in November 2016, after traveling to London to meet with Steele. Kramer and McCain, a Republican, first learned of the dossier earlier that month after meeting with an associate of Steele’s. READ MORE

  2. This is pure BULLSHIT! I think we need to make an amendment that says if you accept a high level position with the Govt. you waive your 5th amendment rights and must comply to federal investigation.

  6. For those with short attention spans – in ’08 “the Palin Effect” had Johnny leading in some polls and even in many others. Then in mid Sep he announced that he was suspending his campaign until Congress passed GWB’s plan to nationalize GM. He called on Barry to do the same. Barry in effect said “Johnny now everyone knows you are a mental defective” and stayed on the trail. 2 days later Johnny capitulated and went back on the trail. But he had made it clear that he was only a pawn of the Bush-Rove syndicate. He dropped at best 4% in some polls and 11% in others.
    again for those with short memories – GWB called his 5year plan TARP!

    All 8 Bush folk announced for Clinton in ’16 – including Yeb who had signed a document promising to back the Republican! They hate Don with a white hot fervor! so their pupet does their dirty work; as he did 10 years ago!

  7. This was an attempt by McCain to sink Donald Trump. McCain sent Kramer to London to pick up the dossier. He then turned it over to Comey. Filthy politics. Old wet-start, yellow stain McCain of USS Forrestal infamy should soon pass on and die an ignoble death.

    We’ve already seen abuse by McCabe and Co. in steamrolling Flynn. Imagine how they would abuse that in EVERY politically-targeted interview ever conducted just to get a procedural charge and force ‘cooperation’ (id est coercion)…

  18. What the hell, the next time he claims the 5th offer him immunity for full and open testimoney on any subject and if he gets caught hiding or dissembling the deals off and off to jail he goes for contempt.
