NYP: Skinny guests have less “dough” to burn at this diabolical diner.
A restaurant in Thailand is being accused of “fat shaming” after offering diners discounts if they can fit their bodies through spaces of varying widths, as detailed in an Instagram post with nearly 8 million views.
Amina @amonthego and Alex @alexwandersyt stumbled upon the cruel and unusual-seeming policy at Chiang Mai Breakfast World, a cafe in Chiang Mai that serves a smorgasbord of international breakfast foods all day. more
I recall there were monasteries that restricted access to the dining area if the monks couldn’t fit through the entrance. Sometimes you need to just push yourself away from the table.
NET CARB COUNTS ARE IMPORTANT TO LIMIT, BUT THE BIG C IS CALORIES
“WHAT YOU EAT TODAY YOU’LL WEAR TOMORROW”

There was a time in my life where I may not have fit through the “full price” bars. My mother actually called me “obese” – and she wasn’t wrong.
There are people who have medical conditions that cause them to be large, but this seems to be fairly rare. In my case, it was an unhealthy lifestle – I ate more than I should, I ate poorly, I loved my beer and sugary drinks and I almost never exercised. There were times when I was “fat shamed,” but it was well deserved and true.
I dropped a lot of weight over the past few years. The main thing I did was an attitude adjustment – I prioritized a more healthy lifestyle which then resulted in eating less, eating better and exercising. This is something I do for me, and I do it everyday. My fellow fatties frequently ask me how I did it, and I tell them the answer is simple and not particularly difficult – make your health a priority every day, and do it for yourself and not others.
So you give a discount to people who are going to buy LESS? The definition of shit for brains.
Gots ta have the beautiful people…or simply a ploy to keep the farangs out.
…other than an ad gimmick, not sure what the point here is. The best competitive eaters are skinny as a rail. Its metabolism, not girth.

“This is something I do for me”. That’s the key right there. Between 6:00 am and 7:30 am, every morning is Brad time. I spend it in the gym. Don’t expect a returned call or an answered e mail during that time.
Also it helps not using the electric scooters at the grocery stores. Especially when you fill them up with ice cream and Cheetos.
Kinda like amusement park rides, they have a “You must be this thin to order dessert” set of bars.
I lost 25 lbs over the last year by simply always asking myself one question before I eat anything; am I hungry or just bored. If I’m honest Im most often bored so I go for a walk or take care of one of the myriad chores “I’ll get to later”.
That plus only one serving at dinner, desserts only on the weekend and a simple, modest lunch. I eat anything I want I just make sure I’m eating because I’m actually hungry.
lost 150+ pounds, got a divorce
The restaurant’s Idea makes perfect sense if it is an all you can eat buffet. Along with all the other comments above, Don’t eat crap, don’t eat because you are bored, If you are bored move and do something, and make it a priority to exercise.
