Roy had a genuine gift for entertaining combined with his unequaled command of multiple instruments. So long Mr. Clark.😔
What was really nice is that Roy really liked playing with good musicians and was more than happy to let them shine, too.
Roy Clark was fantastic. Gatemouth Brown is from Orange, Texas. I saw him in Houston years back opening for Eric Clapton. He was also one hell of a talent.

One of my favorite entertainers and a great musician. I loved him on HEE HAW. In the 1970s he borrowed my banjo to play a couple shows at the state fair because his was “lost” at the airport.
Roy Clark was unique. His charm and charisma is so endearing. God Bless him for his years on wonderful entertainment. May he R.I.P.
