Milo: Russian socialite Ksenia Sobchak – Sobchak is the daughter of Putin’s late mentor – announced her plans to challenge Putin in the next election.
Ksenia A. Sobchak, 35, is a liberal TV journalist who gained notoriety when she hosted the Russian reality show Dom-2. Dubbed “Russia’s Paris Hilton,” Sobchak can be seen sharing her lavish lifestyle through Instagram to her 5.2 million followers.
On Wednesday, the 35-year-old announced her intentions to run against President Putin via Youtube and a letter in Vedomosti, a Russian newspaper. In the video, which looks to be shot in her kitchen, Sobchak said she wanted to be “a mouthpiece for those who cannot be candidates.” read more
