Rutgers: to avoid microaggressions, only speak when ‘necessary’

CampusReform: Students in at least one Rutgers University residence hall are being encouraged to use only language that is “helpful” and “necessary” to avoid committing microaggressions.

The display, photos of which were obtained by Campus Reform, is titled “Language Matters: Think,” and was placed in the College Avenue Apartments by a resident assistant, according to a current resident of the building who does not wish to be identified.

Erected as part of the university’s“Language Matters” campaign, the bulletin board instructs students to ask themselves whether their choice of words is “true,” “helpful,” “inspiring,” “necessary,” and “kind” before speaking out, and also includes a list of potentially-offensive terms, such as “retarded” and “illegal aliens.”

  1. It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it.

If I want to hear from you, I will tell you what to say. – Rutgers

  2. Dear Rutgers administration,
Your very existence and utterances are a PC Progtard macro aggression.
Now go and do the adults in the room (and “Gaia”) a favor, and reduce the atmospheric CO2 load by “offing” yourself.

  3. They way to stop these idiots is funding. Cut off their funding. Boycott or protest to any company that contributes to them, any alumni, and refuse to fund your kids education if they want to go there.

  4. These people are demanding that we practice the tenants of Christianity on them, except without Christ, you know, do onto others as you would have them do onto you.

So how is it that they can be completely reprobate, and at the same time, demand perfect righteousness and justice in our communications with them?

Moral relativism is a slippery slope. It allows for all kinds of immoral behavior, but don’t misspeak or you will be crucified.
