Sanders sides with Biden: Fantasy world to think Medicare for all won’t require middle class tax hikes.
Sen. Bernie Sanders (I., Vt.) sided with former Vice President Joe Biden, arguing that Medicare for all would require increased taxes on the middle class during an appearance on CNN’s State of the Union on Sunday.
Host Jake Tapper showed Sanders a clip of Biden commenting on Sen. Kamala Harris’s (D., Calif.) claim that she would not raise taxes on the middle class to fund Medicare for all.
“Well I find the people who say they’re for Medicare for all, but they’re not going to tax the middle class because you don’t need to do that, come on. Is this a fantasy world here?” Biden asked.
“Do you agree with Vice President Biden that Senator Harris is in a fantasy world?” Tapper asked Sanders. more
Or else…
His argument is that although taxes will be higher you won’t be paying direct costs as you currently are. That could be a valid point, if government-run were more efficient (which it certainly isn’t), but regardless doesn’t make for good sound bites.
More than anything, government-run/funded healthcare will mean medical professionals leaving in droves, which they already are. It is becoming more and more miserable to have to comply with government regulations, get paid reduced rates, and have higher patient loads. Of course privatization would make things better in every way.
Sounds like Bernie is in this until someone offers to buy him a bigger house on the lake. Or maybe he is thinking tropical location.
Still waiting for anybody on the left to ask Sanders or Biden or Harris if they will be enrolling in the same Medicare for All they want for the masses or will they be staying in the Govt Golden Cadillac plans.
I can see Sanders replying “If you are not going to ask a serious question, then don’t ask at all!”
They are all from fantasy world, maybe different asylums.
Under my plan the middle class will pay higher taxes. Also, under my plan the middle class will be the new poor. ~ Bernie Sanders
Feel the DERP!!! 🙄
Not having much luck trying to tell today’s youth how they’re going to pay dearly for our generation’s irresponsible spending, already 23 trillion. All their ‘FREE SHIT’ is going to be added to that bankrupting bill. They have no idea what’s headed their way.
