Dan Bongino: Anytime there’s any sort of natural disaster, some liberal politician out there rushes to immediately blame it on climate change, apparently working under the impression that there were never any natural disasters before industrialization.
This sort of argument has resurfaced most recently following the wildfires ravaging California and other states (some of which have been proven to be arson). California Governor Gavin Newsom, while touring fire damage in Northern California, said “If you do not believe in science. I hope you believe observed reality. The hots are getting a lot hotter and the wets are getting a lot wetter. The science is absolute. The data is self evident.”
“The debate is over in terms of climate change,” said Newsom. “If you don’t believe that, just come to the state of California.”
He later, without a hint of irony, accused those who disagree with him of “exhausting themselves with ideological B.S.”
To the contrary, it certainly seems like it would take more energy to perform the mental gymnastics necessary to blame a fires on climate change than the opposite. And most people agree. more
The story of the fires caused by climate change might not be right but that doesn’t change the fact that Gavin Neuwsom is still right.
And brilliant!
I disagree with you, Noisome. The only “ideology” (if you must call it that) I’m likely to exhaust myself with is the scientific method, which I do adhere to.
And if “The science is absolute. The data is self evident.” then it is scientifically and absolutely self evident that you are replete with megalomaniacal feces.
Mr. Blather go find Kenneth and find out what frequency that he’s on. Your credibility has sunk so low that you’re on some 3rd rate cable channel interviewing Rock Stars and celebutards on The Big Interview. How the so called mighty have fallen.
Umm, yeah. We have had wildfires forever. In general, people are not stupid, despite what those portrayed in the media show. This is not about climate change, this is about what they can get through extortion.
Well said Uncle Al, I shall address him as His Uselessness.
Even people with a higher IQ than Joe Biden (which would be “Most People”) can figure out that when forest fires stop at the Canadian border they ain’t due to climate change!!
@ dan rather
When are you going to confess to the
HUSH MONEY you received from cbs
for not disclosing their treachery
in trying to illegally influence
the 2004 election ?
Never forget when we have a couple of years with many Atlantic hurricanes, that include a few that are very destructive. The left demands we do something about climate change. Now! Before it’s too late.
When that is followed by a few years with very few hurricanes, and the ones that do occur are weak hurricanes, the left never gives credit to climate change for reducing the number of hurricanes and reducing their destructiveness. Complete silence about the topic.
Sticking with that model. Years with several large forest fires, it’s due to climate change. Years with only a few small forest fires. Silence. Nothing to see, move along.
We have had threats of extinction from:
– Global Cooling
– Ozone Hole
– Acid Rain
– Global Warming
and now climate change (also known as the weather) which is such a malleable term that it has zero meaning. If Gavin was a little older he would remember that California has gone through cycles of droughts and wet seasons (for me, the hillside next to my house sheered off due to all the rain fall).
There is no such thing as AGW since CO2 levels are not impacted by mankind’s activities (as we create only about 3% of CO2). Scientifically illiterate and politically motivated fools believe in the silly fairy tale of man made climate change. Science!
