Democrat Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) has announced that he has officially filed the paperwork to run for the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein’s (D-CA) open U.S. Senate seat.

Schiff said he filed the documents on Monday night to run in 2024 to represent California in the Senate.

Schiff will face stiff competition from his own party in the primary for the coveted seat, however.

“It’s official — I just filed my paperwork and will be on the ballot to be California’s next United States Senator,” Schiff said in a Monday night tweet. more

  1. Another Uncle Al fantasy:

I wonder how many energetic whacks to the face from a whiffle bat it would take to knock him out? How ’bout we start a betting pool, $5.00 per entry, and use the proceeds to hire a (ahem) hit man?

The actual winner of the pool wouldn’t get any money but would be able to bask in the heartfelt glowing gratitude of national acclaim.

  2. What happened with the discovery that he actually lived in Maryland? Oh, yeah, Democrat …never mind.

    Here’s a question.

Will voters in California vote for a Senator to represent them that lives in another state?

It’s a trick question. Voters don’t elect anyone, ballots do.

  3. From the article “The large pack of candidates running for the seat is currently led by Reps. Schiff, Porter, and Barbara Lee, all popular Democrats with national profiles.” Those three are the popular democrats??
